We had great presentation from Rose on her and Graham’s newest book Mastodons, Mansions, and Antebellum Ghosts. Almost sixty people showed up for the event and Rose did not disappoint. We had a great time. Everyone went home with some new knowledge after grabbing snacks from the trays of treats her friends brought. The books sold out but we got some more. You’ll have to track her down for an autograph if you weren’t there.

Joan brought out her latest book and discussed the motivation that drove her to write it. She gave us compelling insight into her the family and beliefs that inspire her. It was a beautiful presentation.

Thank you all for coming out for our ribbon cutting and ‘Grand Opening’ though we’ve been open for months. We had a great time. Thank you all for coming out and celebrating with us.

We got to hear about books from authors Elizabeth Kelly King, Meghan Agner, and Kent Westberry, and they read us a little bit of their work. Their talk included their lives and writing and those that have supported them. It was a great time!

Pastor Bryant Thigpen came out to give us a talk about his life, experience, and book on grieving loss. Everyone had a great time. People picked up some of his books and we hung out after and chatted.

Everyone had a great time with Dolores. Amazing stories and some great information on writing the story inside you! We are happy we had such a great turn out and met some wonderful people.

We’ve come a long way to get ready to open up shop. The people of Madison and from the other surrounding counties of North Florida have been beyond welcoming. We’ve had many donations which always help. April has searched as far away as South Florida to find library sales for good deals on used books, as well as scouring marketplace for literal truckloads.
April has worked tirelessly to get ready. We even have our own Madison Books mugs! She is a powerhouse when it comes to getting it done.
Big thanks to our friend Fancy for helping us out as well. April has found some great people to help: Julie, Tris, and Melana. To April’s friends down south — thank you!
